I stayed for 4 nights with my 90-year old father who was visiting Winchester where he had lived over 50 year ago. We were delighted with everything. The accessible room for him was comfortable and well equipped and there was a decent armchair in the room too - something often lacking in hotels.
We ate in the hotel on a couple of evenings and he was very impressed with the food and the friendly service.
The stars of the service were however the breakfast staff - specifically Sharon but also Chris who cooked eggs to order. I've never come across this in a hotel before and it was great! The reception staff were friendly and helpful and took an interest in what Dad had been doing, and what his plans were.
I liked the modern decor in the hotel and there were plenty of spaces to sit and chat.

We have enjoyed staying in this hotel on many occasions and each time and this latest stay is no exception. We particularly enjoy the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room (although this time the room 334 smelt musty).
The one downside was the arrangement for breakfast. This has changed somewhat over the years and we feel that the present system does not meet our needs. The food on offer is excellent but all we require for breakfast normally is cereal, toast, coffee and, possibly, a bit of fruit. The only option available is therefore the continental breakfast at a cost of £16.95 per person which is excessive for what we want.
To deny the use of the coffee machine if you choose one of the a la carte items seems mean!
A more flexible system need to be found that offers value for money.

It was a last-minute decision to stay over for the night. Everything was more than expected and excellent. Just need to add. I think it was the air conditioning heating units that was a bit noisy sounded like that was open but other than that perfect thank you very much.

Easy check in with clear directions to the room. Spotlessly clean with up to date charging points and water to drink. Wifi was fine. REALLY appreciated the coffee bags (instead of granulated sachets) and the milk in a little bottle (instead of the little cartons) - so much nicer!

We only stayed for one night but the staff service, quality of the bed/room and food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel appears to be new, is well laid out and has plenty of parking which is only a short walk to the hotel entrance. The soundproofing in the bedrooms is good and there is no noise from the nearby main roads.
